School Information Management Systems (SIMS)

In 2014-15, the School Education department initiated the exercise to build a comprehensive School Information Management System (SIMS) pertaining to infrastructure, syllabus, student enrolment and teacher information by mapping Unified - District Information on School Education (U-DISE) data for regular monitoring and course correction. SIMS delivers services to various stakeholders and is seamlessly being developed by integrating various service delivery mechanisms into its ambit.

District IT Score Cards:

The Department of School Education reaches out to each district to ensure that digitisation and IT readiness percolates down to the last mile and its benefits are reaped by all government schools in the Andhra Pradesh. District Score cards of IT initiatives is done to compare each district's access to various applications developed by the Department and its usage of IT software to ensure that the various activities were being conducted in a transparent manner.

IT and Assessment Cells are setup in state and districts; Project Monitoring Unit (PMU) is setup in Commissionerate of School Education.

Structural and Functional changes within

Conduct Functional & Organisational Review to understand the gaps in all areas including infrastructure, planning, financials, Human Resources management, internal and external communications and review mechanisms.

Strengthened School Information Management Systems (SIMS)

Unified data systems- used for planning and decision making in the last mile to promote good governance. Creating data policy and driving state-wide adoption of digital monitoring.

Robust partnerships, Outreach and Marketing systems

* Streamline and align all partners towards achieving the programme goals. Use technology as a platform for transparent partner engagement.
* Hosting CSR Conclaves in order to source and direct funds towards the achievement of Badi Parivartana Goals.
